Preston North End
3-2 Stoke City
North End continued their good
form with a sensational second half comeback against Stoke City.
Paul McKenna, David Nugent and Kelvin Wilson grabbed the
goals.
Stoke found themselves 2-0 up after only
seven minutes played. Lawrence scored after only two minutes
into the first half after a poor clearance. Mamady Sidibe also
said thank you very much when he captalized on another mistake
from the defence.
The first half was a poor affiar, with North
End being geered off at the break. Paul Simpson must have given
his team a right telling off as their second half performance
was much better. Paul McKenna who was woeful throughout the game
fired a 25 yard effort into the bottom left corner.
Game on! David Nugent levelled the scoreline
converting subsitute Whaley's pin perfect cross. At this point
in the game, Stoke looked jaded, only one team were going to
win. North End kept the pressure on, which paid off when Wilson
guided the ball home with minutes left.
North End held on to a hard earned three
points, to stay 3rd in the Championship.
