The Ground

This was my first visit to Portman Road, I hope it was worth the trip after setting off at 3:00am. Walking down towards the ground looked impressive, Town rebuilt the ground when they played in Europe a few seasons ago.

From The Outside

From the outside the ground looked good, a big structure in the middle of Ipswich. The sun was shining, the crowds were out in big numbers. Only 100 Preston fans made the long journey to Suffolk, being totally outnumbered.

Facilities

The facilities on offer were bog standard, the service was fast and easy, remembering there wasn't many fans. The toilets were ok, only having to use them once, I didn't want to miss any of the action.

The Stadium

The stadium was impressive, being an all seater. Ipswich have played in the Premiership, the ground matching the league.

Conclusion

Portman Road is a nice ground overall, I don't think I'll make the long trip again.
